DAISY'S MONTESSORI HOUSE
Daisy’s Montessori House is a small family child care, for infants, toddlers and early preschoolers, committed to providing a safe, nurturing, loving and enriching Montessori home environment for children and their families.
Our program fosters community through children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development with Montessori and Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) as its guiding pedagogy and Non Violent Communication (NVC) and Positive Discipline as supportive tools and resources.
Meet Daisy
I have been working with children throughout my life. I have had the unique childhood experience of being raised with a daycare in our home and working at my aunt’s Montessori school in Taipei just out of high school.
Some highlights from over 20 years of teaching in Montessori classrooms include working as an AMI Montessori Primary Course Assistant with Primary Director of Training, Nimal Vaz, footage of my classroom teaching filmed and included in the North American Montessori Teachers’ Association (NAMTA) DVD The Child in Nature, and also serving as the Bay Area Montessori Association (BAMA) president for four years. However the best highlight of all has been creating Daisy’s Montessori House.

Lastly, my credentials include a Bachelors in Art at San Francisco State University with a textiles emphasis, Masters in Education at Loyola University Maryland and an AMI Montessori Primary Certificate at Montessori Education Center of Arizona. I also have further training in Non Violent Communication, Positive Discipline in the Classroom and Parenting, and RIE Foundations Course.
